UPDATE: Sept.2017

The Hotel is no longer offering this.  But if you or friends would like to have this personal experience, just contact me at

The Park Hotel here, a wonderful 1920’s vintage grand dame that sits above Bacvice beach, a short walk from the Riva and Diocletian’s Palace, has agreed to be the exclusive provider of a new evening Palace Gallery Art Walk that Natasha and I have created.

Starting today, the 17th of August, guests will be able to meet several outstanding Croatian artists in person at their studio or gallery during a two hour stroll starting at 19:30PM.   When they return, they will be treated to champagne and some Dalmatian delicacies on the Park’s leafy outdoor terrace.  The whole idea is to give visitors to Split something interesting to do besides cruise the Riva and shop.

The walk will include a visit to Pavo Majic’s wonderful Naranca Gallery. Pavo is an internationally known graphic artist who also conceived the Split International Graphics Bienale, which this year starts in October.  Also on the walk is Strecko Zitnik, a wonderfully colorful impressionist painter.  Boris Sokol, whose dreamy land and seascapes of Solta are a very evocative is another artist.  His work is shown at the first private gallery in Split, Gallery Mauric.

It will be interesting to see if the Park’s guests like the concept.  To start it will be offered three evenings a week.   We’ll keep you posted! Take a look at our flier and table tent cards
