Rain, wind, storms and a surprise

We’ve been having such incredibly funky weather I thought I was back in Seattle, Washington where the local saying on tourist T shirts says “Seattle Rainy Season, Jan. 1-Dec. 31”

There were even floods in Dubrovnik!  The Cetina River is monstrously high (will be fabulous for white water rafting this Spring!) and even the small Matejuska marina has sea water practically touching the stone walkway that surrounds it.  Oh yes, did I mention hail?  Acorn size pellets and plenty of them.

But every once in a while the sun shines through and the other day walking up my street I turned around and saw this and clicked as fast as I could.  You can see how dark it was, and just below, a patch of blue.

Today, after a spat of rain, the sun is out.  And the forecast is that it will get sunnier after what seems like a month of continuous deluge, wind and oh yes, that hail.

Now the only question is should I knock on the door of that house where the rainbow landed and ask if they found their pot of gold…..
