Split in 3rd place as finals begin in European Baseball Cup

Split’s baseball team unloaded for 12 runs in a 12-2 rout of Austria’s Schwaz Tigers today to finish the tournament at 3-2 and sole possession of third place.

The six team championship wound up being a battle between the two first place finishers, the Czech and Belgium teams with identical 4-0 records going into today’s games.

The playoffs begin tomorrow–we’ll keep you posted, but whatever happens, for Split’s team to finish 3rd against the best of Europe is amazing.

Team coach and pitching ace Ernesto Pereira still leads the pack with 20 KO’s in 17 innings.

GO NADA!
